Having been influenced by his two grandfathers to the world of art from an early age - one was a sculptor and one used to be a professional horn player in Symphony Orchestra – Xavier Lafitte was instilled with a sense that creativity and artistic skills were hugely important things. At the age of eighteen, Xavier attended a business school in Paris where he also moved on to Madrid, Spain and to the Hartford University, Connecticut, USA. For many years, he took courses in modern-jazz, tap dancing and trumpet, and never stopped drawing. Later on, he thought of becoming an actor.  In 1997, after graduating, Xavier started taking acting classes and auditioning for parts. In late 1999, Thierry Harcourt cast Xavier in the role of the eccentric Oscar Wilde’s lover, Lord Alfred Douglas, in the play “GROSS INDECENCY, THE THREE TRIALS OF OSCAR WILDE”. By this time he navigated a gradual hill up the acting chain.

2000 found Xavier playing in “LIFE”, by Audrey Schebat, “LA BANDE DU DRUGSTORE”  by François Armanet (2001), "GABRIELLE" (2005) by Patrice Chéreau, "NEW LOVE" (2007) by Laurence Coriat, selected at the Cinema Extreme London Film Festival.

In July 2006, Xavier started filming “EN LA CUIDAD DE SYLVIA” by Spanish director Jose Luis Guerin. He was paired with rising star Pilar Lopez de Ayala and marked Xavier’s first starring role in a feature film. In 2007, the film is critically acclaimed at 64 Mostra International Venice Film Festival.

While starring in Spanish films ("AGUILA ROJA" (2011) dir JR. Ayerra, "HOLDEN" (2012), "THE RETURN OF ELIAS URQUIJO" (2014) dir R. Madrid and "POSTALES DESDE LA LUNA" (2012) dir JF. Viruega),  Daniel Colas offered one of  Xavier's best performances  in the acclaimed "HENRI IV, LE BIEN AIMÉ" (2010/2012), starring Jean François Balmer and Béatrice Agenin, portraying the bright  Marquis de Bassompierre...
